Lake Park Piranhas

The Lake Park Piranhas are the official swim team of The Village of Lake Park located in Indian Trail, NC and is run by the Lake Park Swim Team Booster Club. We were established in 2010 and swim with The Greater Charlotte Swim League.

As Lake Park is a municipality, our pool falls under municipal guidelines. This means that anyone can join our pool, even if they are not a resident of the Village of Lake Park. Simply put, once you are a member of our pool, you have the option to join the Piranhas!  Participants in the team consist of swimmers ages 6 - 18, both boys and girls.

To join the team there is a swim team fee in addition to the pool membership fee. Pool membership is handled by the Village of Lake Park.  To see all costs and fees, please go to the Costs/Fees tab.

The Swim Season:

Swim season starts mid-May and runs until the end of June.

Practice:

Daily practices occur Monday through Thursday. Practice times vary and are structured to meet the needs of our swimmers. Practices are designed to help swimmers focus on the four basic swim strokes and team participation.

Meets: 

Meets (competitions in the swim world) are in the form of duals, where we compete against one other community team. Typically meets occur on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the season. An All-Star meet for the fastest swimmers from our team and division caps off the season at the end of June.
